Do you know of a charitable or social service agency that could use some funding? The Social Ministries Endowment Fund was established in 1988 by the Loyola House Jesuit Community in order to create funds to support the social ministry activities of St. Ignatius Parish. Deadline for applications for consideration for the Spring 2023 grant is 28 February 2023.
In response to God’s love and Jesus’ invitation to discipleship, social justice and systemic change are part of our mission. Informed by Cathoic Social Teaching, St. Ignatius provides opportunities to participate actively in the promotion of awareness and implementation of social and environmental justice.
LAUDATO SI’ CIRCLES
Laudato Si' Circles is a ministry where small groups of people meet regularly to deepen their relationship with God as creator and all members of creation. We are participating in the Global Catholic Climate Movement through prayer, reflection, and actions, using Pope Francis' Encyclical on the Environment, Laudato si', as our guiding document. We meet to discuss ways to incorporate this important Catholic social teaching into our everyday lives, and to understand that the Pope is asking us to take concrete action.
