Poverty Simulation

Friday, October 5, 1-4 pm at USF, McLaren 250, 2130 Fulton St., SF, CA 94117

Could you live a month in poverty? Participate in the Poverty Simulation and find out!

According to the US Census Bureau, there are 46.7 million Americans who live in poverty every day.  This Poverty Simulation offers participants with an opportunity to assume the role of a low-income family member living on a limited budget.  As one participant commented:

"This poverty simulation dramatically demonstrates how much time and energy many families have to give just to survive from day to day.  It quickly dispels the myth "that people would do fine if they would only go out and get a job!""
