Homecoming Mass and Parish Picnic

On Sunday September 26, 2021, after months of distancing and virtual gathering, Saint Ignatius Parish comes home together once again to be nourished by God and one another in spirit, mind, and body as we celebrate the Eucharist and share in fellowship.

Outdoor Homecoming Mass and Parish Picnic

When:
10 am Mass 11:15 am Picnic

Where:
St. Ignatius Church on the Lawn

Cost:
$10/individual $25/family donation

*No one wishing to attend will be turned away for lack of funds

*Last minute attendees can purchase tickets at the door

THE DETAILS:

  • 10:00 am Mass will take place on the USF Campus Lawn
  • Please bring you own chairs and blankets
  • The picnic will continue on the USF Campus Lawn
  • Sandwiches will be available
  • Entertainment will be provided
  • Parishioners are encouraged to bring baked goods to share
  • This will be an eco-friendly event, please refrain if possible from using non-recyclable plastics, utensils or other containers
COVID-19 HEALTH AND SAFETY PROTOCOLS
  • For the safety all, Mass will be celebrated outside the church on the USF Campus Lawn at 10:00 am
  • All visitors to USF are expected to follow our community guidelines, which state that visitors must be fully vaccinated regardless of size of event, complete symptom monitoring, and avoid coming to campus if they do not feel well. Visitors must wear face coverings both indoors and at outdoor events.
  • For the picnic, per the above USF protocols, attendees will be asked to present proof of vaccination at the picnic registration table
  • You can download a digital version of your Covid-19 vaccination card here to share at the event

VOLUNTEER HERE

Pre-Picnic Outreach
Help spread the word and personally invite people to join us. Volunteers will reach out to fellow parishioners via email messages and telephone calls.

Registration
Greet picnic guests at the registration tables checking pre-registrations information, vaccination verification, and welcoming walk-ins.  

Picnic Set-up
Help to set up tables and chairs umbrellas etc . . .  in the morning before mass begins.

Picnic Food Committee and Assistants
Help coordinate the details and set up of food tables, utensils  and distribution. (This may include some advance food pick-up and prep)  

Clean Up Lead
Help in the breakdown and clean-up at the end of our picnic. )  

Lawn Games
Help guide organized activities for the young people and families.
