The Ignatian Counseling Institute for Family
Life has professional Catholic counselors who provide:
Marriage Counseling
Family Therapy
Child and Adolescent Counseling
Individual Counseling
Group Counseling for Married Couples
ABOUT THE INSTITUTE:
The professional staff is trained to assist you in
growth issues of family life such as:
Is your marriage what you want it to be?
Are you struggling to express your needs to your
Spouse?
Are your children suffering from your lack of
communication with your partner?
Has your spouse left you emotionally?
Have you tried to solve problems like these and found
you could not do it alone?
Experience shows that talking out one's inner
feelings within the counseling process is necessary.
It is an effective way to deal with many
interpersonal problems. This process of counseling is
a normal way of dealing with the complicated stress
of contemporary family life,
Our staff has many professional resources. We meet
together for case consultation with other
professionals in the fields of psychiatry, family
law, morality, ethics, clinical psychology and
spirituality.
As Catholic counselors and therapists, we perceive
that when people relate to one another, they relate
to Christ, who said, "If you give to these brothers
and sisters of mine you give to Me." [Matt 25:40] It
is our opinion, then, that this counseling process is
a movement toward God. We consider this to be the
context of the therapeutic work we do.
We serve all ages, groups, socioeconomic and
educational backgrounds, reflecting the rich variety
of families in the Bay Area.
Institute staff members are counseling professionals
whose fees are based on the financial resources of
those seeking counseling.
